Grand Master Simons was a member of Palestine Commandery No. 18, Morton Commandery No. 4 and DeWitt Clinton Commandery No. 27. He served as Most Eminent Grand Master and Commander of the Grand Encampment of the State of New York in 1855 and 1856.
