Free Library Lecture: 2018 Lecture Series: No. 1 – Catherine M. Walter, Curator

January 25, 2018 @ 6:30 pm - 7:30 pm

On Thursday, January 25th, in the first lecture of the 2018 Library Lecture Series, Ms. Catherine M. Walter, Curator, will highlight one of the Civil War-related artifacts in the Library’s Museum collection.

This set of Resolutions was sent in 1881 to a Southern Captain who saved three Northern Masonic Brothers from the battlefield of the Second Battle of Bull Run, Manassas, Virginia, where they had been wounded, and where they had been dying for two days before their Brother discovered them.

These Resolutions and this story illustrate a truth of the Masonic Brotherhood, that even in the midst of battle, the bonds of Brothers are stronger than any other affiliation.

Please RSVP at info@nymasoniclibrary.org.

NOTE: Photo ID is required to enter the building.
