Searching for George

Brother Evar Miller, painter and art teacher, will be speaking about the symbolism included in a 10’x10′ mural featuring George Washington which he painted on the Eastern wall of his Lodge’s Fellowcraft room.
He will also highlight details about Brother Washington’s life which he discovered during his research, and will additionally discuss other Paintings made of George Washington by other artists.

Brother Miller received his BFA in Painting from the University of Illinois, his MFA in Painting from Yale University, and his MAT in Education from Harvard.

He has taught in the Boston Public Schools, Roxbury, Massachusetts, the Westport Public Schools, Connecticut at Phillips Exeter Academy, Exeter, New Hampshire and in the Henrietta Central Schools, Henrietta, New York.

He is a member of O-At-Ka Lodge No. 759, Scottsville, NY.
